My photo of Gabe Bondoc from his solo concert in San Francisco last December. This was in the free circulation of Manila Mail newspaper published last week.

My good friend Geraldine and I have been planning a photo shoot for a long time. But with both of us being so busy, we’ve put it off for a while. Before the year ended, we got to finally get this photo shoot going while we hung out and caught up a little. The shoot was very much spontaneous in the sense that we did not really plan any details or what the photos would look like. She pretty much brought some outfits, I was there with my camera and we wanted to see what would come out of it. Here are a few of my favorite shots..

I wasn’t going to do this at first because I always make a list and lose it, forget about it or just plain give up on it. But seeing as how 2009, I think I can look forward to 2010 being productive. I think I just have to remember that a year isn’t broken down by semesters but in itself is a whole and just because you don’t get all your resolutions rolling in the beginning doesn’t mean they can’t be fulfilled by the end of the year.

So here are my resolutions+goals for 2010

+ Take some risks
+ Grab opportunities as they come
+ Improve on my photography / design skills
+ Get my name out as a photographer and designer
+ Collaboration [with photographers/designers/friends/musicians/all the talent I met in 2009+will meet in 2010]
+ Sketch more often
+ Find a job and save money
+ Travel / take some trips

I have met so many talented people in 2009 that I am looking forward to working more with them in 2010. I cannot wait for what the results may be. I am ready to put myself out there and get loved, hated, disappointed, hurt, healed, supported, let down and anything else people may throw at me. In my education, my career, my personal life. I’m throwing all of me into everything this year. As long as I know I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward and being a better me that is striving to be happy and successful. My fam and friends will always be there along side me.

2010 is not the year to be timid. I will own it.

Going into 2010

2009 was a very good year for me. It had a lot of ups and downs, some rocky times and some extraordinary. I’ve learned a lot, met some great folks and came across experiences and opportunities that I never expected to happen. So as usual, I do a quick recap of the highlights of my year.. here we gooooo!

+ started the year right celebrating with friends
+ 3 more successful semesters of college
+ A number of photo shoots to build my portfolio
+ A day trip to Monterey [first time there!]
+ Road trip to San Diego
+ Road trip to Disneyland / LA weekend
+ Becoming FilGrad 2010 Director
+ Joining The Luna Co.

Those are only a few of big highlights from this year. Mostly my year consisted of concentrating on school, my photography and small get to get togethers/time with my friends as a group and individually. My year would not be the same if it had not been for these folks..

Being surrounded by my friends [top/a few missing in the picture] and joining The Luna Co. [bottom/gabe bondoc concert] has truly made my year. My friends are truly my extended family. I only met most of them during college but for the past 5 years we’ve gone through so much together and it really shows me that they are supposed to be in my life and will continue to be. They have always believed in and supported my work, my goals, and most importantly me. These people are very special and so incredibly awesome that I’m at a lost for words to describe them. They are some of the most hard-working, determined and greatest people I have been lucky enough to become close to. I cannot wait for us to take over the world in our respective fields some day. Love you guys!

I only joined The Luna Co. towards the end of the year and they instantly took me into the family which was amazing. They are all very talented people and I admire what they bring to the table. I am lucky to have joined them and love the work I get to do with them: photographing the artists, designing print work, and just being a part of what they are all about. They are just really great people at heart that love what they do and really care about the artists that they work with. I really commend their crew/artist relationships, the work they have done and the work that they will do int he future. No doubt The Luna Co. is “The entertainment forefront of a new emerging market.” I think they have all the rights to be “feelin’ themselves right now.” hahah!

I am very excited to see what the year brings me as well as my friends and The Luna Co. It is exciting to see since I am graduating with all of my friends and many of The Luna Co. artists are just taking off. It will be an AMAZING year fill of positive changes and success, not just for me, but for all these folks.

To end this entry, I would just like to say THANK YOU [even tho i probably can't say it enough] to these folks and to all amazing people I have met this year. I have been very blessed this year and I am sure 2010 will only bring me even greater opportunities to push me to be better. Here’s to 2009 and looking forward to 2010. CHEERS!

Just finished hand-making 60 concert badges for this Friday’s concert headlining Gabe Bondoc. Badges included 5 sets: The Luna Co., The Luna Co. artists, All Access passes, Guests, and Vendors.

The Luna Co. crew badges, personalized so that we may use them for future gigs and events. Kept simple and easily readable. The back shows contact information to connect to The Luna Co., including email, phone number and website. This can be seen with the artist badges below.

The artists that are managed by The Luna Co. are designed to match the crew badges but reversed. This difference shows the distinction between the two groups but still leaves a connection. These are also personalized for future use.

The backstage passes are not only for concert use but also serve as a souvenir from the concert. Each pass level is a different level for easy sighting. Each one also has a different San Francisco landmark designed on the front. This connects the badges with this first concert/city Future cities may have different designs and leaves the possibilities open.

For my Graphic Design III class, our final group project was to come up with a problem/solution and design 2 deliverables. 1 analog and 1 digital. For the digital, we decided to do a website to promote this bi-weekly event in SF called Drawing Space. Here’s the website, my part of which was to come up with the layout while my group member programmed it.

The website up right now is still rough but if the person who runs the event would like to use it as their full website, I’m sure it will be programmed with more detail. I still enjoy the design elements and logo.
